Inside Sales Support Representative

Key responsibilities

  • Client acquisition:

Proactively find and contact new customers through various channels like direct contact, web leads, trade shows, or referrals.

  • Customer needs assessment:

Research potential clients and use phone, email, or video to understand their needs and challenges.

Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.

  • Sales and presentations:

Present products or services, provide information, and create quotations.

Complete RFPs as needed for potential opportunities by collecting and organizing required information according to a strict timeline.

  • Relationship management:

Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers to foster loyalty and generate repeat business.

  • Order processing and support:

Process orders, handle customer inquiries, provide tracking information, and assist to help solve issues.

Act as liaison between sales team and operations team to track order delivery and accurate inventory.

  • Record keeping:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and other relevant data in a CRM system.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and self-motivation skills.
  • Proficiency in using sales technology, such as CRM software, Word, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Ability to work cross departmentally within SEG.
  • Ability to work independently in an office setting.
  • Problem-solving and research abilities.

Education and Experience

· BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration.

· 1-2 years’ experience in renewables a plus.

Additional Information

· This position is office based in SEG’s Headquarters in Houston, TX.

· Role will report to the VP of Distribution & DG Sales.

· Mandatory attendance of scheduled internal meetings.

· Attendance at trade shows/conferences/customer meetings as needed.

· Less than 10% travel.
