Working Shop Supervisor - Forklift Repair Shop

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Working Shop Supervisor to lead our team in a busy forklift repair shop. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll not only oversee daily operations but also work alongside technicians performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and related equipment.

Lead and supervise a team of shop technicians; assign work and ensure productivity.

Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all shop operations.

Train, mentor, and support technicians as needed.

Oversee job scheduling, work orders, and parts procurement.

Coordinate with customers and vendors regarding service updates and job status.

Ensure shop cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training a plus.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in forklift repair.

At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in a repair shop or similar environment.

Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems.

Solid organizational and communication skills.

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in a shop environment.
