Simple Mental Health Strategies Through Purpose

## Voice Up Publishing - "Miracle Has a Monster" Campaign

  • *THREE WAYS TO PARTICIPATE: VOLUNTEER
  • ACADEMIC CREDIT
  • STIPEND**###

The Power of Simple Solutions

What if the most effective mental health tools were also the simplest? This internship amplifies evidence-based strategies that are changing children's lives breathing exercises that feel like games, color-finding activities that calm anxious minds, and stories that normalize struggle while building resilience.

###

Proven Impact

You'll market "Miracle Has a Monster," a children's book with documented results.

A five-year-old with ADHD independently used the book's breathing techniques at school, surprising his kindergarten teacher who had "never seen a child request regulation time." Medical doctors, educators, and psychology professionals validate its approach to making mental health concepts accessible through purposeful storytelling.

Research shows connecting to purpose reduces mortality risk by 46% more effective than avoiding smoking or maintaining fitness.

These simple strategies work because they're embedded in story and play, teaching children that everyone has "monsters" (anxious feelings) and that having tools to manage them is empowering.

###

Three Ways to Participate

1. Volunteer Track (Up to 10 hours/week): Contribute to mental health advocacy on flexible schedule while gaining marketing experience and building your portfolio in purpose-driven organizations.

2. Academic Credit Track (Hours based on university requirements): Earn course credit while developing skills in digital marketing, educational outreach, and community engagement we'll coordinate with your institution's requirements.

3. Stipend Track hours/week minimum, based on available funding): Receive monthly compensation while gaining intensive experience in purpose-driven marketing for candidates demonstrating strong alignment with Voice Up's mission.

###

Your Mission

Demonstrate how accessible mental health strategies become powerful when connected to purpose.

Reach parents seeking practical resources, educators needing classroom tools, and healthcare providers recognizing that effective support doesn't require complex interventions.

You'll leverage the book's role as first component of The B Curriculum a global framework spanning 3,774 cities, designed to build better mental health through simple, purposeful activities.

###

The Impact

Help prove that simple strategies, marketed thoughtfully, reach families who need them most.

Show children that anxious feelings don't define them and that struggle is part of growth, while advancing Voice Up's mission of connecting people to purpose one conversation at a time.

All tracks prioritize mission alignment and include mentorship, networking opportunities, and recommendation letters.

Position Duration: 8 weeks with potential extension based on impact and organizational needs.

Our project is a first step in raising awareness about a national health epidemic.

All proceeds are reinvested directly into proactive strategies for improving behavioral health among youth, teens, and young adults in collaboration with community partners.

We sponsor every day people of all ages struggling with behavioral health challenges that are committed to making a sincere change in their life towards their purpose.

We match then with mentors for the long term.

Our youth, teens, and young adults are reporting the highest levels of loneliness on record according to the U.S. Surgeon General.

Our work is going to help change that through simple actions that bring people together for the common good, focused on lifting people up, and creating stronger in person connections.
