Primary Services is actively recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Specialist - Cash Applications to support a large, industry-leading client. This contract opportunity offers exposure to both commercial and residential energy accounts, providing a challenging and rewarding setting for professionals with experience in collections, billing, or accounting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate account management, reduce delinquency, and support process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage collections for high-value commercial and industrial accounts.
• Reconcile residential and commercial customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve billing or transaction issues.
• Audit accounts receivable records and assist in wind-down of residential business.
• Perform credit adjustments and resolve account concerns.
• Communicate professionally with clients to address inquiries and reduce delinquency.
• Collaborate with Customer Operations, Billing, and Finance teams.
• Utilize Excel, Revenue Manager, Salesforce, and Exelergy for daily operations.
• Support projects and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, billing, or accounting roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle repetitive, detail-oriented tasks independently.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in retail energy or utilities is a plus.
• Familiarity with residential and commercial account structures preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce, Revenue Manager, or Exelergy preferred.
