JB Poindexter & Co. (JBPCO) is seeking an accomplished, results-oriented Director of Digital Marketing as a key leader on our Commercial Excellence team. This leader will be accountable for elevating enterprise-wide digital visibility, scaling demand-generation capabilities, and driving data-backed marketing execution across all JBPCO business units. The role requires a hands-on marketing executive with deep expertise in digital marketing, content and search strategy, and enterprise-grade marketing technology paired with a demonstrated ability to deploy scalable processes, implement modern marketing infrastructure, and deliver measurable commercial impact. The Director of Digital Marketing will report directly to the Vice President of Commercial Excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Digital Marketing Leadership: Architect and execute an enterprise-wide digital marketing strategy that drives search visibility, demand generation, and customer engagement across all JBPCO brands.

Search Visibility & Web Performance Management: Lead a unified search and content strategy leveraging SEMrush, AI-enabled content workflows, and structured keyword frameworks. Deliver against corporate visibility targets, ensure all brand domains meet site health KPIs, and proactively manage web hygiene, governance, and compliance.

Content, Creative, and Brand Execution: Oversee production of high-quality digital assets, photography, video, and written content supporting all brands. Manage AI-supported content generation mapped to high-intent search queries. Ensure consistent brand execution across email, web, trade shows, and social footprint.

Marketing Cloud & Marketing Automation: Optimize and scale an already-deployed Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem generating 800,000 annual sends. Advance the platform toward fully personalized, AI-supported, multi-channel engagement including dynamic content, SMS, behavioral triggers, and automated lifecycle journeys. Strengthen segmentation discipline, QA rigor, and governance to materially increase relevance, engagement, and attributable revenue across all business units.

eCommerce Acceleration: Partner with eCommerce stakeholders to support scaling digital revenue. Optimize product content, conversion funnels, and data-driven marketing strategies. Ensure digital accountability is embedded in BU P&Ls.

Event Strategy & Execution: Serve as the enterprise lead for NTEA Work Truck Week and other flagship events. Oversee planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, booth design, asset creation, and end-to-end execution including setup/teardown and post-event performance reporting.

  • Analytics, Reporting & Data Visualization: Utilize Tableau, Power BI, and advanced Excel capabilities to deliver executive-ready dashboards and insights on customer behavior, web performance, campaign ROI, and competitive trends.
  • Governance, Compliance & Data Privacy: Ensure digital practices comply with data privacy regulations, cookie and tracking consent requirements, email governance, and JBPCO’s enterprise data policies.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA recommended.

10–15 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally spanning digital, brand, and commercial execution. Demonstrated success operating in complex, multi-brand, multi-business-unit environments.

Digital Marketing & Web Competency Deep expertise in SEO, SEM, content strategy, and web performance optimization with measurable gains in search visibility. Proven track record managing enterprise WordPress environments, web hygiene programs, and multi-site architectures. Experience deploying and scaling eCommerce platforms.

Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud including automation workflows, Journey Builder, segmentation, QA frameworks, and governance models.

Creative Production: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere) and Canva for rapid content development, including photography, videography, and media editing.

AI-Enabled Content: Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into content operations (search-driven content generation, email personalization, social content scaling).

Experience leading large-scale trade show operations (preferably NTEA Work Truck Week or similar). Ability to manage budgets, teams, and vendors while ensuring flawless execution.

Strong command of analytics platforms (SEMrush, GA4, Search Console) with the ability to translate insights into growth actions.

Business Intelligence (BI) Tools: Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookup, Power Query) for developing advanced data visualization that offer deeper insights into sales and marketing performance.

Compliance, Risk, & Data Governance: Expert knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, CASL) and digital consent management. Ability to build compliant data capture, cookie/tracking frameworks, and marketing data hygiene standards.

Communication: Exceptional executive communication skills, with a track record of producing high-quality presentations, reports, and performance narratives.

Demonstrated ability to develop linkages/relationships with the company's dispersed business units, drive change and deal confidently with multiple constituents with differing levels of sophistication both inside and outside the organization.
