**This is a 40-hour a week, onsite position located near IAH airport. The role will start at the top of the new year and freelance for 2-3 months with the plan to convert to salary at that point. If someone cannot commit to 5 days onsite, the hiring manager is open to discussing a hybrid schedule, but their may still be weeks where you come in on WFH days simply due to campaign deadlines and critical workload.****You do not have to be a 5 out of 5 on all the skills listed below. The hiring manager is open to candidates who may be really strong in some of these areas but willing to learn and develop skills in others.**About the RoleOur B2B piping client is strengthening its marketing foundation with a renewed focus on content, storytelling, and channel execution. They are seeking a Marketing Content Specialist who brings a balance of creative skill, digital marketing know-how, and hands-on content capture to elevate their brand presence across all platforms.This role has become a need due to our emphasis on content creation, social media execution, and practical email marketing that supports their Lead-2-Cash strategy and sales enablement goals.The ideal candidate is a versatile creator who can produce high-quality content (written, graphic, photo, and video) and deploy it effectively across our digital ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesContent Development & Creative ExecutionCreate compelling written content for web, email, social media, intranet posts, tradeshow collateral, and sales enablement materials.Design on-brand graphics, presentations, and visuals using Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.Capture and edit photo and video content on-site using iPhone, DSLR, or drone (preferred).Assist in developing storytelling frameworks that highlight Hobas' engineering expertise, customer successes, safety culture, and brand values.Digital & Social Media MarketingManage the social media calendar, posting cadence, and community engagement.Draft copy, build graphics/short videos, and coordinate approvals.Monitor metrics, report performance insights, and recommend content optimization.Email Marketing & Campaign ExecutionBuild and deploy emails using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar tools (HubSpot, MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.).Segment contact lists, set up sends, A/B tests, and track performance-not required to configure backend automation workflows.Support marketing campaigns for events, webinars, product updates, and customer communications.In-House Content GatheringCapture on-site footage at the plant, office, job sites, field events, and tradeshows.Conduct basic interviews with employees, customers (as approved), and subject matter experts to support storytelling content.Edit short-form video clips for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Reels, intranet, and internal communications.General Marketing SupportSupport website content updates (no coding required).Assist with event content needs, including signage, photography/video, and post-event content recaps.Maintain brand consistency and support rollout of new brand elements and templates.Collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Operations, HR, and Leadership to gather information and transform it into clear, engaging content.Qualifications2-5 years of experience in content creation, social media management, or digital marketing (B2B industrial or manufacturing preferred).Strong writing skills with ability to simplify technical topics.Basic-to-moderate graphic design experience (Canva required; Adobe suite a plus).Experience creating short-form video content; comfortable shooting on mobile and editing in tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, iMovie, etc.Familiarity with email marketing platforms or marketing automation tools.Drone operation experience or willingness to learn (FAA certification preferred).Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.What Success Looks Like in This RoleConsistent production of high-quality content that supports sales, internal communications, and brand visibility.Increased engagement across social media and email channels.Organized content planning and predictable publishing cadence.Improved visual and written consistency across marketing assets.Reduced reliance on contractors for creative and content capture.Ability to "translate" field, engineering, and operations stories into compelling messages for customers and employees.Position DetailsReports to: Director, Marketing & CommunicationsLocation: Houston, TX (on-site)Travel: Up to 15% for events, site visits, or customer interviewsIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
