Offshore Project Controls Manager

Job Summary

In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive project control systems for offshore projects, ensuring alignment with budgets, schedules, and scope. Your expertise will support project teams in managing risks, controlling costs, and maintaining rigorous documentation standards, ultimately driving project success from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence large-scale offshore initiatives and work with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in maintaining project budgets and mitigating risks through an effective control organization.
  • Establish and oversee the integration of scheduling, cost control, risk management, and document control functions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a tailored Project Control System suited to project complexity, contractual requirements, and risk analysis.
  • Manage document control processes, ensuring all project documentation is organized, tracked, and compliant with EDMS standards.
  • Develop and maintain key project control documents such as WBS, Risk & Opportunity Management Plans, Control Budget, Master Schedule, and Cash Flow forecasts.
  • Monitor project performance, assess deviations from baselines, and recommend corrective measures to keep projects on track.
  • Prepare comprehensive internal and client reports, including progress updates, performance metrics, and invoicing documentation.
  • Foster a culture of schedule, cost, and risk awareness among all project stakeholders to enhance decision-making and project transparency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in project controls, planning, cost control, or project management, preferably within offshore or complex project environments.
  • Proficiency with planning and scheduling tools, including Primavera P6, and experience with EDMS, SAP, and other project management systems.
  • Strong understanding of WBS/CBS creation, earned value management, progress assessment, and economic risk evaluation.
  • Advanced knowledge of project change management processes, including MOC tools and impact analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Additional beneficial skills include experience with integrated project control systems, report development, and troubleshooting user issues.
