Compensation Packages

Local Candidates (Hourly Pay): $49-$56

Travel Candidates (Weekly Take-Home Pay): $1743-$1953

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy strategies as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Provide consultation and training to staff and families as needed
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations related to special education services

Federal and State Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws
  • Strong communication, assessment, and collaboration skills
  • Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Texas school districts
