Job Description
Seeking an individual to execute the firm’s business development, public relations, and client services. The objective is to expand and support the firm’s client base. The ideal candidate values responsibility, organization, time management, effective communication and is solution oriented.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for working with partners to develop, plan, and lead firm-wide Marketing and Business Development Initiatives.
- Works with the Firm Managing Partner, Practice Managing Partners, Management Committee, and Firm Administrator in creating a strategic marketing plan.
- Assists attorneys with RFPs and pitch meetings to clients and/or prospects.
- Develops and maintains practice specific marketing materials that articulate Firm capabilities and experiences.
- Oversees the Firm’s rankings, recognitions and awards submissions.
- Coordinates with administrative departments to complete client and/or Marketing/BD related surveys.
- Performs market research and analysis to support the Firm, practices and individual attorneys.
- Furnishes market advice, counsel and general staff support to all departments within the organization.
- Monitors external and internal environment for the development of new market segments.
- Maintains positive relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and organizations demonstrating the firm’s commitment to client service.
- Develops public relations communications including thought leadership articles, news articles, biographies, ads, etc. to market firm services.
- Manages events and sponsorships that highlight Firm services and support client development.
- Coordinates and manages the ordering and distribution of Holiday Cards and Gifts to clients.
- Creates graphics needed to support Marketing and BD initiatives.
- Develops and maintains the Marketing/BD budget.
- Coordinates and attends client-facing events and conferences.
- Manages the Firm’s website and SEO.
- Creates and implements social media strategy for the Firm.
- Maintains Firm branding standards and coordinates with Recruiting to order swag.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, as needed.
- Serves as the main point of contact on all Marketing and BD matters.
- Remains at the forefront of emerging industry practices.
Education/Experience/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or any related field or any similar combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Marketing, Business Development, Recruiting, or related field required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in the legal industry.
- Involvement in the Legal Marketing Association required.
- Background knowledge of Intellectual Property law and/or technical fields strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft’s suite of products, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, WordPress, social media platforms, and other computer/office functions preferred. If you believe you possess these attributes and work ethic to help our firm succeed, we encourage you to apply
