Middle School In-House Substitute (starting August 2026)

St. John’s is seeking a full-time, in-house substitute teacher in the Middle School (6-8). In addition to relevant experience and a strong educational background, successful candidates must demonstrate a passion for working with middle school-age students and a commitment to developing the whole child and furthering the School’s mission, including its strategic initiatives on community and inclusion.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with the Middle School administrative team to ensure coverage of classes
• Actively support teachers and students on campus daily from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM
• Serve as the primary substitute for 6-8 classes
• Assist teachers with class instruction and/or recess, lunch, and carpool duties

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Teaching experience preferred
