Overview

Senior Pipeline Construction Manager at WSP USA leads construction efforts for pipeline, facilities, and mining projects, guiding teams through EPCM lifecycles from feasibility to closeout. Responsibilities

  • Provide senior construction management and advisory support for pipeline and related infrastructure projects
  • Lead or support construction execution planning from development through commissioning
  • Develop execution plans, staffing, logistics, schedules, cost estimates, and project procedures
  • Support routing and siting studies, and evaluate ROW conditions and access
  • Provide constructability input during feasibility, FEED, and detailed design
  • Oversee construction of oil/gas, slurry, water, and related pipelines and facilities
  • Provide technical leadership for specialized activities (HDD, tunneling, hydrostatic testing, welding, NDE, coatings)
  • Review drawings, specs, work plans, welding procedures, and construction deliverables for constructability
  • Lead contractor procurement, bid evaluations, and contract administration
  • Manage field personnel and coordinate interfaces among owners, contractors, and regulators
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; support project controls and reporting
  • Promote health, safety, environmental, and quality culture on projects
  • Participate in client meetings, risk reviews, and business development activities
  • Mentor construction team members and support growth of WSP's pipeline construction management capability
  • Uphold ethics and company policies; adapt to project needs

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or related field
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive construction, engineering, inspection, field-services, or project management experience in pipeline, facilities, mining, energy, or industrial infrastructure
  • Experience leading complex pipeline construction in senior roles
  • Experience across EPC/EPCM lifecycle phases
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, routing, logistics, and contractor oversight
  • Experience with cross-country pipeline systems and related facilities
  • Ability to develop and review estimates, schedules, and construction procedures
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with various stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, quality, and inspection requirements
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to work in office, field, and active construction-site environments
  • Valid driver's license and ability to satisfy site-access requirements
