Our client is seeking a creative and community-focused Social Media Engagement Specialist to join their growing e-commerce team. Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging social media content strategies tailored to each platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn). Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, responding promptly and professionally. Foster community engagement by initiating conversations, asking questions, and responding to user-generated content. Manage and escalate customer service inquiries or issues received through social media to the appropriate departments. Identify trends and insights within social media conversations to inform content creation and community management strategies. Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media activities with broader campaign goals and product launches. Track and report on key social media engagement metrics, providing analysis and recommendations for improvement. Curate and create compelling visual and written content suitable for social media. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and platform updates. Assist in the development of social media policies and guidelines. Engage with influencers and brand advocates to expand reach and credibility. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience (3+ years) in social media management and community engagement, preferably within an e-commerce context. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting engaging and brand-appropriate copy. Deep understanding of major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for engagement. Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social). Strong understanding of online community dynamics and customer service principles. Ability to analyze social media data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Creative mindset with an eye for visual aesthetics and compelling content. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment. A passion for building relationships and fostering positive online interactions.
