Senior Business Analyst, Strategic Initiatives
Specialty1 PartnersSummary
We are seeking a highly analytical, driven, and adaptable Business Analyst, Strategic Initiatives to join our team. Reporting directly to the VP of Strategic Initiatives, you will operate as an internal consultant, leading the analysis, design, and execution of high-impact projects across multiple departments. This role is designed for a performance-driven individual with the intellectual curiosity, structured problem-solving skills, and executive presence typical of a top-tier management consulting analyst. If you thrive in a startup-like environment, enjoy tackling business problems, and want to see the tangible impact of your work across a large-scale healthcare organization, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Problem Solving: Lead the analysis of complex business challenges. Break down ambiguous problems, develop hypotheses, and build quantitative models to evaluate potential solutions.
- Data-Driven Insights: Gather and synthesize data from different sources (financial, operational, clinical) to uncover actionable insights. Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives and executive-level presentations.
- Initiative Execution: Transition from strategy design to execution. Drive cross-functional workstreams, partnering with stakeholders in Finance, IT, Operations, and individual dental offices to implement strategic initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a connective tissue across the organization. Build strong relationships with department leaders and frontline staff to ensure alignment, manage change, and drive adoption of new processes.
- Agile Project Management: Manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously, adapting to evolving business needs in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: 0–5 years of post-undergraduate experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, project management, or a highly analytical operational role. A background resembling a top-tier consulting Business Analyst or Associate is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record. An MBA is a plus, but not required; we prioritize demonstrated performance, intellectual ability, and authentic leadership over academic credentials alone.
- Analytical Rigor: Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (executive storytelling).
- Structured Thinking: Ability to approach ambiguous problems with a structured, logical framework and distill complex issues into simple, actionable recommendations.
- Communication & Influence: Strong communication skills. Ability to present confidently to senior executives and doctors while also building rapport and credibility with frontline clinical and operational staff.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: A self-starter mentality with a high degree of ownership, resilience, and a bias for action. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving results.
- Team-Oriented: A collaborative, low-ego team player who aligns with our caring culture and is passionate about making a positive impact on patient care and organizational success.
