Role Overview: 

 

The Doctor Onboarding & Offboarding Coordinator is responsible for owning the full lifecycle of doctor onboarding and employee offboarding across Specialty1 Partners. This role ensures that doctors are fully credentialed, introduced, and operationally prepared to begin practicing in supported practices, and that all employee separations are handled thoroughly, accurately, and consistently. This role serves as the central point of coordination for transitions into and out of the organization, partnering closely with recruiting, operations, payroll, IT, and clinical leadership to deliver a seamless experience while maintaining accurate records and compliance across systems. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Doctor Onboarding 
    • Own and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for doctors joining supported practices 
    • Coordinate and track credentialing, licensing, and required documentation to ensure timely completion 
    • Manage onboarding timelines and proactively follow up with internal teams, practices, and providers to prevent delays 
    • Coordinate introductions with clinical leadership, operations, marketing, and supported practice teams 
    • Ensure system access, equipment setup, and operational readiness are completed prior to start dates 
    • Maintain accurate onboarding records and status tracking in UKG and related systems 
    • Identify onboarding risks or gaps and escalate issues as needed 
  • Employee Offboarding 
    • Execute all employee offboarding processes from initiation through completion of COBRA eligibility 
    • Coordinate equipment return, system access removal, and completion of offboarding checklists 
    • Conduct or coordinate exit interviews and ensure feedback is documented appropriately 
    • Ensure UKG profiles are updated accordingly including, termination details, and offboarding documentation accurately and timely 
    • Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and Operations to ensure clean and compliant offboardings 
    • Ensure no outstanding tasks or loose ends remain following employee separation 

 

Requirements: 

  • 2–4 years of experience in onboarding, HR operations, credentialing, or employee lifecycle support 
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple workflows and competing priorities simultaneously 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel 
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (UKG preferred) 
  • Dental Credentialing Experience
  • Ability to work independently while partnering cross-functionally

  • Process Consistency – Follow established workflows while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Data Integrity – Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in UKG and related systems at all times. 
  • Communication – Provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders throughout onboarding and offboarding processes. 
  • Continuous Improvement – Identify recurring issues or bottlenecks and recommend process enhancements.

$23$25 USD
Specialty1 Partners is the direct employer of non-clinical employees only. For clinical employees, the applicable practice entity listed above in the job posting is the employer. Specialty1 Partners generates job postings and offer letters to assist with human resources and payroll support provided to the applicable practice. Clinical employees include dental assistants and staff assisting with actual direct treatment of patients. Non-clinical employees include the office manager, front desk staff, marketing staff, and any other staff providing administrative duties.
