The ideal candidate with have analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong people skills. The successful candidate will be effective in performing site visits, reconciling construction costs, understands tax depreciation, performs quantity takeoffs, and estimates costs from drawings and physical structures.
The Consultant is responsible for creating positive team member experiences, which lead to excellent client service and drive revenue and profit for the Firm.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete studies for Cost Segregation
- Obtain and analyze sensitive client data in the form of drawings, specifications, appraisals, site photos, contracts, etc.
- Perform RS Means and construction modeling for commercial buildings and income-producing residential properties
- Effectively communicate technical findings to team members and clientele
- Research, understand, and analyze many internal revenue codes, treasury regulations, tax court cases, etc.
- Document, review, and assemble comprehensive work product for review by IRS and FTB examiners
- Communicate and interact directly Cost Segregation team leads about project status, etc.
- Able to join calls with clients, CPAs, and principals to discuss projects
- Work effectively in a team environment and train/assist others when necessary
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Accounting or related field required
- Candidate who is pursuing a Professional Engineering/Architecture license preferred
- Previous experience with RS Means / cost estimating software a plus
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Time management and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a variety of tasks and projects
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, strong documentation skills
- Strong client interaction skills
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license required.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm in person and via e-mail and telephone.
- Position requires regular interaction with clients and interface with external vendors in person and via e-mail and telephone.
- Independent travel requirement: Up to 5%.
