We re looking for energetic, dependable people who know how to move when things get busy.BARTENDERSThis isn't your average bartending gig.Oktoberfest Nation is a high-volume, fast-paced festival experience where thousands of guests will come through our doors. We need bartenders who can move fast, keep the beer flowing and bring the energy from the first pour to last call.Bartenders should be comfortable with high-volume drink service, serving large numbers of guests quickly, maintaining accuracy while working at speed, keeping bar stations stocked and organized, processing cash and credit card transactions and working with POS systems such as Toast or Square.Experience working in nightclubs, high-volume bars, concert venues, festivals, stadiums, entertainment venues, large-scale events or busy restaurants is a major plus.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORBig energy first.Hospitality experience is a plus, but if you can command a room or carry four-liter steins through one, we want to meet you.We're looking for bartenders who are friendly, happy, outgoing and ready to work. You should be comfortable interacting with large crowds, working as part of a fast-moving team and keeping the energy high even when the bar is packed.Bartenders must be available to work Thursdays through Sundays, with weekend availability throughout the entire fall run.TABC certification is required for bartenders.Bartenders must also be comfortable wearing traditional Oktoberfest attire, including Dirndl or Lederhosen.COOKS & KITCHEN STAFFThousands of guests also means a seriously busy kitchen.We're hiring experienced Cooks and Kitchen Staff who are comfortable working in a high-volume event environment and can maintain speed, organization and quality during intense service periods.Relevant experience includes restaurants, catering, festivals, concessions, stadiums, entertainment venues, food halls and other high-volume food operations.COOKSCooks will be responsible for preparing and executing menu items quickly and consistently throughout service.You should be comfortable preparing ingredients before service, working multiple orders simultaneously, following recipes and portion standards, cooking and assembling menu items, maintaining proper food temperatures and keeping your station stocked, clean and organized.We need cooks who understand how to move with urgency without sacrificing food quality, consistency or safety.During peak service, communication and teamwork will be essential. You should be able to take direction, communicate shortages or issues quickly and work alongside the rest of the kitchen team to keep orders moving.KITCHEN STAFFKitchen Staff will support food preparation and overall kitchen operations before, during and after service.Responsibilities may include food prep, portioning, assembling and plating orders, stocking ingredients and supplies, maintaining prep areas, assisting cooks during rush periods, monitoring product levels and keeping kitchen areas clean and organized.We're looking for people who are willing to jump in wherever needed and understand that during a major event, every person in the kitchen plays a role in keeping service moving.Kitchen candidates should be comfortable with fast service periods, food preparation, proper food handling, sanitation, organization, inventory and maintaining quality while serving large crowds.Food Handler certification and applicable Texas food safety certifications are required or must be obtained prior to beginning work.AVAILABILITYOktoberfest Nation Houston is a 6-week seasonal experience in EaDo / Downtown Houston.Candidates should have availability Thursdays through Sundays.
