The Manager – Energy Performance & Data Management is a leadership role within Noble’s Low Carbon Solutions team. The role is responsible for driving measurable energy efficiency and emissions performance improvements across the fleet by combining operational understanding, performance data, and stakeholder engagement.
The position plays a central role in Noble’s Data Driven Performance philosophy and is critical to delivering the company’s emission intensity reduction targets toward 2030. The role requires strong offshore knowledge, the ability to translate data into clear operational actions, and regular engagement with offshore crews, internal stakeholders, and customers.
The role requires willingness to travel and work offshore as required.

Key Responsibilities 

Energy Performance Leadership 

  • Own and drive fleet energy performance, focusing on fuel efficiency, emissions intensity, and operational performance. 

  • Identify and prioritize energy efficiency opportunities based on data, operational context, and business impact. 

  • Ensure energy performance is treated as an operational performance topic, not only a sustainability metric. 

  • Act as the internal focal point for energy performance across rigs and projects. 

Data Management and Performance Insights 

  • Lead the development, use, and continuous improvement of energy performance data and analytics. 

  • Own and evolve Energy Efficiency Insights and Power BI dashboards, ensuring data is accurate, trusted, and actionable. 

  • Combine multiple data sources (operations, fuel, weather, equipment, and activity data) into meaningful performance insights. 

  • Translate complex datasets into simple, practical messages for offshore crews, management, and clients. 

  • Ensure performance data is actively used to drive decisions and behavior change, in collaboration with rig teams. 

Offshore Engagement and Execution 

  • Engage directly with offshore leadership and crews to drive understanding and ownership of energy performance. 

  • Travel offshore to support implementation, performance reviews, and energy efficiency initiatives. 

  • Support offshore teams in linking performance data to real operational actions and improvements. 

  • Help build energy performance capability offshore, including coaching and performance-based discussions. 

Stakeholder and Client Interface 

  • Act as a key interface between Low Carbon Solutions and rest of the organization. 

  • Support client-facing meetings, workshops, and presentations related to energy performance and emissions reduction. 

  • Present performance results, trends, and improvement opportunities to internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Support tender and well planning activities where energy performance and efficiency are part of the value proposition. 

Strategy, Roadmap, and Continuous Improvement 

  • Support development and execution of the fleet energy performance and emissions reduction roadmap. 

  • Help define performance targets, tracking mechanisms, and success criteria. 

  • Identify opportunities to embed energy performance into planning, execution, and incentive structures. 

  • Bring forward new ideas and best practices to continuously improve how performance is measured and managed. 

Leadership and Culture 

  • Act as an ambassador for Data Driven Performance within Noble. 

  • Influence behavior and mindset across offshore and onshore teams. 

  • Mentor and support colleagues in understanding and using performance data effectively. 

  • Drive collaboration across disciplines to improve energy performance outcomes. 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Background in offshore drilling operations and performance. 

  • Proven experience working directly with offshore crews and rig leadership. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work confidently with data, analytics, and performance tools. 

  • Strong understanding of energy efficiency, fuel consumption drivers, and operational performance. 

  • Experience presenting performance insights to senior management and customers. 

  • Able to bridge technical detail, data, and operational reality. 

  • Willingness to travel and work offshore as required.
