Job Details:
The (HYBRID) Procurement Specialist supports sourcing and negotiation activities across a range of indirect spend categories within the organization. This role uses industry-standard sourcing and contract management tools to run events, analyze supplier proposals, support contract routing, and help the organization achieve cost savings and value. The position is intended for an early-career procurement or supply chain professional with developing negotiation skills, practical analytical capabilities, and an interest in building strong working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. Note: This position includes occasional visits to our BedQuarters location in Houston, Texas.
Essential Responsibilities
Support end-to-end sourcing events using eSourcing tools, including collecting and organizing requirements, coordinating supplier participation, gathering bids, and preparing summaries for review.
Review contracts, invoices, and spend data to establish commercial baselines and identify potential savings or value-improvement opportunities.
Assist with basic should-cost and variance analysis (price, quantity, discount, and total cost variance) to describe the financial impact of supplier proposals and negotiation outcomes.
Participate in supplier discussions and negotiations, with guidance from the Sr. Manager, to help achieve balanced outcomes across cost, service, and risk.
Coordinate with Legal, Cybersecurity, and other risk stakeholders to route agreements through contract lifecycle management tools and track required reviews and approvals.
Compare order forms, statements of work, and commercial schedules to agreed terms and flag discrepancies for resolution before execution.
Partner with stakeholders across IT, eCommerce, Marketing, HR, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functions to support planning and execution of sourcing events and renewals.
Track activities, timelines, and status updates for multiple sourcing and contracting efforts and share progress updates with stakeholders and the supervisor.
Contribute to updates of procurement processes, templates, playbooks, and tools that support consistent and efficient sourcing activities.
Provide support for cross-functional initiatives, including integration projects with affiliate companies resulting from mergers and acquisitions, where indirect procurement input is needed.
Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; and/or equivalent experience required
Professional Experience
1-5 years of experience in Indirect Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or a related Procurement/Supply Chain role in a corporate or internship/co-op environment required

Compensation:
Competitive salary of $70,000 - $75,000 * depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.*Pay amount does not guarantee employment for any particular time.
