Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Your Mission HOERBIGER Service Inc is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team in Houston. This position works in an industrial repair center and ensures materials are received and shipped accurately, safely, and on time. How you will make a difference

• Pack, ship, receive materials and prepare documentation as required.
• Perform transactions in the computer ERP system (SAP) such as inventory transactions and final completions of work orders.
• Complete daily backlog schedules as communicated by customer service, the lead worker and/or the supervisor.
• Report safety issues to management and follow safety procedures.
• Follow documentation and quality procedures and report discrepancies to Management.
• Identify process gaps and implement practical improvements that reduce shipment errors, delays, rework, and unnecessary freight cost.

What you should be good at

• Minimum one year of logistics, shipping, receiving experience
• Minimum one year experience utilizing SAP ERP system
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Position requires ability to stand, walk, hear, speak, view processes and surrounding environment, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• This position requires working occasional overtime to meet customer commitments
