Logistics Coordinator, Drilling & Completions

Overview

As Drilling & Completions Logistics Coordinator, you will own trucking and vendor relationships to ensure drill pipe, BHA components, and completion gear arrive on time. You will build a reliable carrier pool, standardize D&C material movement processes, and identify cost-saving opportunities as the company scales its GeoBlock product. You'll work closely with rig teams and internal stakeholders to maintain smooth, predictable logistics. This role offers impact from optimizing shipments to supporting fast-paced field operations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trucking carrier and vendor relationships; negotiate rates and onboard new vendors
• Manage a reliable D&C carrier pool; monitor performance and address recurring issues with vendors
• Serve as primary contact for scheduling, documentation, and issue resolution with carriers and vendors
• Coordinate tool and material deliveries with rig and completions teams; align with delivery windows
• Design and implement standard dispatch, scheduling, and documentation processes to improve reliability
• Track shipments in real time and communicate status or delays to site teams and stakeholders
• Analyze movement patterns to identify cost-reduction opportunities; track spend against budget
• Maintain accurate shipment and PO records in internal trackers and shared logs

Key requirements

• 3-5 years in oilfield, drilling & completions logistics, trucking, or supply chain (oil & gas preferred)
• Experience building and managing trucking carrier and vendor relationships, including rate negotiation
• Experience coordinating time-critical, multi-stop shipments to active well or rig sites
• Strong analytical skills for shipment data analysis and identifying trends
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and Excel proficiency
• Excellent communication skills with site teams, vendors, and stakeholders
• Collaborative, forward-thinking, self-motivated team player with ability to implement new processes in a fast-paced environment
