ABOUT EHCEC
EHCEC is the regional development anchor for East Harris County.
We operate with the speed of a start-up, the discipline of a high-performance organization, and the responsibility of a backbone institution. We do not run disconnected programs or campaigns. We build systems that move people, institutions, and communities forward.
We build systems.
We move fast.
We measure outcomes, not activity.
There is no playbook for this work. You are not stepping into a polished system. You are helping to build it.
WHY THIS JOB MATTERS
East Harris County has been historically underserved, not only in resources, but in visibility, narrative, and perceived value.
EHCEC is doing powerful, systems-level work across economic mobility, workforce development, leadership, and community resilience. Without a unified marketing and brand engine:
- Stories go untold
- Campaigns lack cohesion
- Fundraising becomes reactive
- Corporate partners underestimate regional opportunity
- Executive visibility is diluted
- The region underestimates its own impact
Without disciplined narrative and brand infrastructure, even strong programs struggle to scale influence, funding, and trust.
The Director of Marketing & Brand exists to solve this problem.
This role designs, builds, and scales EHCEC’s marketing and brand engine — transforming fragmented communications into a cohesive, measurable, and high-performing system that elevates regional identity, strengthens institutional credibility, and accelerates investment and engagement.
This is a systems leadership seat, not a content-only role.
