Who You’ll Work With

The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles.

About The Role

This role will report to the Director of Investigations and Threat Management. The role is responsible for conducting behavioral threat assessments and providing solutions to threat cases through prevention, mitigation and intervention options. Additionally, the role will conduct cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders to develop and implement an enterprise workplace violence prevention program. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, implement, evaluate and continuously improve an effective, data-driven physical threat management program that is compliant with legal and regulatory requirements as well as company policies.
  • Analyze internal and external threat reports, actions and communications to assess the means, motive and opportunity to carry out threats. Conduct interviews and utilize open-source intelligence to conduct behavioral threat assessments and implement effective controls and mitigation measures to ensure safety.
  • Develop, record and maintain data points and metrics related to physical threat management.
  • Lead the department’s Threat Assessment Team and conduct cross-functional coordination with internal partners such as Employee Relations, Human Resources, Legal and Cybersecurity.
  • Develop, document, implement, evaluate and continuously improve an effective enterprise workplace violence prevention program that is compliant with legal and regulatory requirements as well as company policies.
  • Partner with business units and corporate functions to ensure effective workplace violence and threat management controls are in place.
  • Liaise with local, state, federal and international law enforcement agencies during the course of investigations and threat assessments.
  • Obtain and maintain the Certified Threat Manager (CTM) certification through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by departmental leadership

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience conducting threat assessments and managing crisis situations in a law enforcement and/or corporate setting.
  • Certified Threat Manager (CTM) certification through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals preferred. This role will be expected to obtain and maintain this certification.
  • Other industry certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) are highly desirable.
  • 3+ years of experience conducting open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and case management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism and emotional intelligence.
  • Above average computer, database, OSINT and social media platform skills required.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or on call in the event of an emergency or imminent threat to ensure the safety of colleagues.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $122,000 to $145,000 for Jersey City, NJ and Woodland Hills, CA regions at the commencement of employment.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX, Woodland Hills, CA, or Jersey City, NJ office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
