Technoloygy Architect Aws Redshift

Overview

In this role you will architect and deliver AWS-based data solutions for enterprise clients, aligning analytics, data migration, and big data initiatives with business goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable architectures and guide migrations from relational databases to cloud platforms. You'll mentor junior staff and shape technical delivery approaches. This position offers impact across large-scale projects and the chance to drive modernization in a consulting setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS Redshift-based data architectures and migrations
• Lead large-scale migration projects from relational RDBMS to AWS implementations
• Plan and execute ETL/Reporting pipelines using EMR, Informatica, and related tools
• Mentor and guide team members on AWS implementation approaches
• Validate data integration through test plans and data design considerations
• Support performance tuning and optimization of AWS Redshift and associated stacks
• Engage in thought leadership, deliver white papers, and mentor internal teams
• Collaborate with clients to understand architectural tools and technologies and define new architectures

Key requirements

• Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent; 7+ years in Information Technology
• 5+ years in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture
• 2+ years AWS Redshift implementation with at least two large migration projects
• 5+ years ETL and reporting tools experience
• Extensive AWS data architecture experience; big data stack (EMR) experience
• Informatica 8.x/9.x upgrade experience a plus
• Experience validating data integration and performance tuning on AWS Redshift
• Ability to travel as required; strong project/account management is a plus
