In this role you lead procurement, expediting, logistics, and vendor management for EPC projects to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery. You will align procurement with engineering and construction milestones while coordinating with Finance for accurate financials and payments. You drive supplier performance, risk management, and compliant sourcing across cross-functional teams. This is an opportunity to shape complex project outcomes through strategic sourcing, strong vendor partnerships, and meticulous financial control.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute project-specific supply chain and procurement strategies
  • Lead sourcing, bid evaluation, negotiations, and purchase order placement
  • Build and maintain strong vendor, supplier, and logistics provider relationships
  • Serve as primary point of contact for vendor communications, performance, and commercial matters
  • Coordinate with engineering, project controls, construction, quality, finance, and commercial teams
  • Establish procurement schedules aligned with deliverables and milestones
  • Monitor supplier performance, progress, inspections, and delivery commitments
  • Direct expediting and logistics activities including transportation, customs, warehousing, and site delivery
  • Review vendor invoices against POs, contracts, receipts, and changes
  • Perform three-way matching of POs, receiving, and invoices
  • Lead invoice reconciliation and resolve discrepancies in pricing, quantities, taxes, freight, retainage, and terms
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate differences with GL
  • Support monthly/year-end close activities including accruals and cost adjustments
  • Maintain accurate vendor accounts, procurement records, payment schedules, and project cost data
  • Track committed, actual, forecasted costs and PO balances
  • Monitor accounts payable aging and resolve overdue or disputed balances
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate coding, approvals, and payment processing
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis for procurement
  • Prepare financial, procurement, and supplier performance reports
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks such as long-lead items and capacity constraints
  • Ensure compliance with policies, contracts, laws, and ethical sourcing
  • Support audits with organized purchasing, invoicing, and payment documentation
  • Lead, coach, and develop procurement, expediting, logistics, and supply chain personnel
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, materials management, or related field
  • Mandatory experience supporting EPC projects
  • Experience managing procurement and supply chain for large, complex projects
  • Strong knowledge of equipment, materials, logistics, expediting, vendor management, and supplier quality processes
  • Experience with PO administration, invoice review, three-way matching, and vendor statement reconciliation
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accruals, cost tracking, and month-end close
  • Experience reconciling procurement data with accounting records and balancing vendor accounts
  • Experience with ERP and procurement systems
  • Strong negotiation, commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to resolve financial discrepancies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Willingness to travel to project sites, suppliers, and manufacturing facilities
