Material Handler

Location: Houston, TX

Pay rate: $18.00 - 24.00/hour, depending on experience. Overtime: Possible, estimated 0 - 10 hours/week, not guaranteed.

The Materials Handler is responsible for moving materials from machines at workstation as part of production process.

Responsibilities:

• Issue and transfer parts for production.
• Assist Production Planner and assembly stores whenever required.
• Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of materials management experience required.
• SAP experience is required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills required.
• Ideal candidate is self-directed and proactive.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required. (Training will be provided.)

Length of Assignment: 6 months. Potential for extension or conversion to full-time.

Work Environment: 80% warehouse/shop, 20% desk. Not climate-controlled. Fast-paced and dynamic.

Training: NEST in Houston.

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 16:30. Occasional weekend work may be required.
